This is a superb antique Gothic Revival figural cast iron summer cover and surround, dating from the 19th Century. This is an unusual four-piece set, depicting a knight in armor above a shield surrounded with vines, and the surround is ornamented with trefoils and faux rivets. The lower vent opens and closes. This fireplace cover would be a wonderful addition to any Gothic Revival, Tudor, or Spanish Revival décor. This set is in very good antique condition, with aged paint and some rust. The overall width of the piece, including the surround, is 30 ¾â€, and the overall height is 30 ¼â€.
