This is a wonderful French iron fire screen from the 19th century. Very heavy, with excellent quality iron work and detail. Still having the original finish which is highlighted by the gold coloring of the flowers. Could rest on the hearth or could be mounted into the masonry on each side of the box opening. this would be very neat because it would enable the screen to open and close like gates. Could also be used as a decorative architectural element in many other locations. It measures 54W x 54.5H. Serious inquiries welcome!
