Wonderful antique Arts & Crafts fireplace mantel with shield motifs, dating from the early 1900s. This mantel features clean lines and rectilinear details, crowned by a back piece that is trimmed by strap and button details. The mantel shelf below extends out and has pyramid studs rising above each leg placement. Below the mantel shelf are two fantastic decorative shields. The rectilinear columns legs are set away from the mantel itself, attached with a small connector piece. A pyramid stud bracket is featured near the base of each mantel leg. The same unique strap and button trim seen above lines the firebox opening. This fireplace mantel is in very good antique condition, with some chips and wear to the paint as pictured. The mantel measures approximately 60" wide, 61-3/8" tall, and 11-1/2" deep; the firebox opening measures approximately 41-1/4" wide and 38-1/2" tall.
