Beautiful English Victorian rosewood firescreen. Vertical barley-twist elements support a charming needlepoint Low Country scene, the panel measuring 24 1/2"h. x 21"w. The raised panel would have accommodated the step-up hearths of the period. Acanthus leaf detail on the carved knees and scrolling toes over original porcelain casters.
