Victorian, circa 1900 Two-faced glass owl head nursery light/fairy lamp. Opaque green with orange painted eyes. Sits in a molded glass pyramid lamp cup. Maker''s marks to base of the cup ''S.CLARKE FAIRY PYRAMID''. Fairy lamps originated in England in the 1840''s and are candle burning night lights that would have been used in nurseries, hallways, and dimly lit corners of the home.
