MAGNIFICENT PAIR OF FRENCH ORMOLU (GILT BRONZE - BRONZE D''ORE) LOUIS XV1 STYLE 5 ARM CANDELABRA LAMPS. THE FIGURES ON THE LAMPS ARE LADIES PLAYING MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS IN CRINOLINE DRESSES AND THEY FACE TOWARDS EACH OTHER. THEY ARE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION FOR THEIR AGE, THE ONLY APOLOGY BEING A VERY SMALL PIECE OF FOILAGE MISSING BEHIND THE LADIES ARM ON ONE LAMP. THESE LAMPS WERE APPARENTLY PURCHASED FROM SOTHEBY''S NEW YORK IN THE 1960''S BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER. THESE ARE A VERY LARGE AND HEAVY PAIR OF EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY LAMPS AND ARE ON LARGE SHAPED EBONISED BASES. THEY CAN BE USED EITHER WITH A LARGE SHADE WHICH ATTACHES TO THE CENTER ARM WITH A FINIAL OR WITH INDIVIDUAL SHADES AS SHOWN. FOUR ARMS OF EACH LAMP HAVE BULBS. ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW!!!!!!!!
