Brass Lamp with Mirror Sconce. Brass. dark gray and clear glass. Brass; mirrored glass; metal. The sides of the brass lamp are decorated with five draped swags. The original free blown chimney is held in place by a cut-out brass holder. The two knobs on the double brass burner are marked, "Best British Make F." The round mirrored sconce clamps onto the font and is held by a twisted metal rod that encircles the sconce. The mirror has a brass frame and the back of the frame is embossed with a large bat with open wings. The bat or Fledermaus was the mark of Stubgen & Co., Germany. The same bat is embossed on a small brass plate on the front of the sconce along with, "D.R. Patent."
