Pair of circa 1860 Rococo triple arm girandole mantle set, solid brass, Henry Hooper & Co, Boston, exceptionally cast grape cluster, vine and leaf motif, spray of leaves below candle socket, separate finely cast bobeches of grapes and leaves, solid brass double step base with classical leaf motif.
16” wide, 15” tall, Base-7.5” wide, 3.5” deep.
Condition – excellent, appears to be original finish, includes all six original bobeches. 417
- This is the ultimate in 19th century Rococo Revival girondoles-vintage design as well as fine detail. This model is shown in Henry N Hooper & Co 1858 catalog as one of their production models. This three light fixture was sold as number 581 in that catalog.
