Unusual pair of brass candlesticks - they have four little cameos around the base of each stick. The foot has an engraved pattern of acanthus scrolls with a triple chain surround to the foot. The same chain decoration also surrounds the sconces. The cameos are somewhat worn with age, and one is missing ( the brown background however, means that this is not immediately noticeable). The photo makes the candlesticks look crooked, but actually they are very straight. This curvature is caused by the lens. Candlesticks measure 18.5 cm high with a foot rim of 9.25 cm diameter.
One has the card mssing from under the base - but this is a simple matter of cutting a new piece and gluing it in. Overall, condition is very good. Probably early to mid 20th century.
