Porcelain candle holder shaped as a fan with hand painted decoration of flowers and leaves. Rope detailing from the handle, gilded highlights. It has its own little porcelain snuffer, which sits over a match holder. The little match holder has incised sides, so you can light a wax vesta match against it. Everything the Edwardian lady needed to visit the plumbing during the night. Underneath is incised 'Registered", however I think this is of European make, made for the export trade. Item measures 6 cm high by 15.5 cm front to back by 15.25 cm wide (approx. 2.3/8 inches by 6 inches by 6 inches). It has a small bruise/chip on side rim, otherwise excellent condition. Very attractive.
