A good bronze hand Bell, one of the famous Hemony Bells that has been in
production since the original famous 17th century Bell makers (these not related).
I am dating this as late 18th / early 19th century as all the signs of age are present.
The colour is a rich light chocolate (with highlights from handling).
The inscription running around the base is the normal one present on all the bells;
F. Hemony - Me + Fecit - Anno - 1569 (all written in capitals letters)
• Provenance: Private Estate / Lincolnshire / UK
Inside the bell again signs of use on both the hammer and the bottom rim where
the hammer has hit - the hammer suspension looks more recent.
