Superb antique bronze sculpture depicting Diana with her spear, horn, and loyal Borzoi by her side. It is artist signed and dated 1886 below Diana's right foot. This is an extremely lifelike and very realistic composition of Diana. Diana's robe is blowing in the wind, while her anxious dog leaps up looking for prey as Dianna hold her spear back preparing to throw it. The sculpture is mounted on its original pedestal style marble base. It measures 16 inches from the bottom of the base to the top of Diana's head. Not including the base, the sculpture alone measures 11-1/2 inches high. From the back of Diana's dress to the tip of the Borzoi's foot it measures 8 inches. Weight 10.25 lbs.
