Very rare Art Deco silvered bronze Orientalist dancer signed F. Priess in the marble base. This is a very rare model typical of the high quality and anatomic knowledge of this sculptor. The muscles in her legs are extremely well defined exactly what a dancer's legs should look like. F.Priess is more well known for his bronze and ivory sculptures. This beautifully detailed dancer is an extremely rare model, the first we have had the pleasure to own . She measures 14-3/4 inches from toe to toe, not including the base which is a little over 2 inches tall, she measures 8-1/2 inches from her bottom to the top of her finger. Including the base the bronze measures 10-3/4 inches high.. The base measures 15-3/4 inches long, 3 inches deep, and a little more than 2 inches high. This bronze shows great detail, even her headdress is meticulously detailed and finished. The bottom of her costume is also beautifully finished and hand detailed. One can tell that great thought and craftsmanship was needed to create this beautiful sculpture. She is in excellent condition guaranteed to please as are all our items. (Item #72011)
