Exquisite huge and beautiful antique bronze sculpture of a gorgeous Diana on a rockwork base. She is nude except for her jeweled belt and crescent moon in her hair. She has a gorgeous medium chocolate brown patina and is inscribed on the rock work base P. Aichele. It also has a metal plaque on the front of the bottom of the base titled Diana. Paul Aichele a German sculptor (1859-1910) We did a little research on this artist and found his most expensive bronze at auction realized $18,338.00 at Sotheby's London on October 5, 2000 lot# 154. He sculpted large size images. Another example he did is a hunter with an eagle Ganymede and the Eagle. This beautiful bronze of Diana has a height of 32-1/2 inches. Weight 24 lbs. From her left shoulder to her right hand she measures 1 foot. This is an exquisite example in mint condition guaranteed to please the most particular collector or connoisseur. (Item #72786)
