Rare and extremely unusual compostion depicting a satyr sculpting a beautiful nude lady sculpture. This is an extraordinary subject. Making it even more unusual is one of the satyr's legs has a hoof at the end, what you would expect to see on a satyr sculpture that is half man half goat, but his right foot is sculptured in human form. He has horns like a devil and a long tail. The back is inscribed E. Seger with another mark below the name. The bronze measures 11-1/2 inches high. Fom the back to the front of the base it measures 6-1/2 inches. Widest width 4-1/2 inches. The nude lady that the satyr is sculpting stands 9-1/2 inches tall. Weight 10 lbs. To say this is an unusual sculpture is an understatement. This is an extremely rare and very well detailed bronze sculpture created by Ernst Seger. Guaranteed to please as are all our items.
