Antique gilt patinated bronze sculpture depicting a lady with an Art Deco style hat wearing a fur holding a basket in one hand and a cup to collect money for charity in the other hand. The sculpture is signed Dunach. Please see close ups for the artist's signature and title of sculpture. The front of the sculpture is inscribed 7 Fevrier 1915. The bronze has very nice detail and was skillfully sculptured at the beginning of the Art Deco movement in 1915. The sculpture shows nice detail and excellent composition. It measures 8-1/4 inches high including its 3/4 inch marble base. The base is 3 inches wide and 3 inches deep. The bronze alone not including the base measures 7-3/4 inches tall. This is an interesting sculpture we have not seen one by this artist before nor have we seen one of a similar subject. It has a religious connotation she is wearing a badge with a cross on it.The cup she is holding for donation also has a cross on it. The bronze is in excellent condition with some rubbing to the patina commensurate with age and handling. Guaranteed to please as are all our items. (Item #72930)
