Beautiful 19th century bronze sculpture depicting an angel, perhaps Cupid, ascending to the heavens with Psyche to make her a Goddess. This is a beautifully detailed sculpture in excellent condition on a pristine marble base with a gilt bronze under plate. The beveled marble base conforms to the bronze base the angel is about to fly away from. The sculpture measures 13-1/4 inches high, 8 inches wide from angel's wing tip to lady's left hand. The base is 5-1/4 inches deep by 5-1/2 inches wide. Weight 20-1/2 lbs. Artist signed Jaibas on the back. This is a very well detailed sculpture in excellent condition.
