This beautiful pair of decorative brass ewers features woodland scenes of rampant Bacchanalian excess. Hurrah! They include finely-modeled grape leaf clusters and rams-head motifs, and the ornate handles are topped by winged putti. The ewers have been weighted and sealed, so they are decorative rather than functional. Should the buyer choose, it is assumed that these could be drilled and turned into a striking pair of lamps.
