Unusual brass jardinière and stand. A wonderful example of the Asian influence in the English and American Aesthetic Movements, this impressive piece has everything. Birds on branches, fish, and dragons all done in bold three dimensional relief. Clouds, flowers, Greek Key and Persian incised detail. No dings or dents, old braising on the inside bottom of the pedestal that does not show on the outside and green oxidation on the bottom ring of the jardinière, sum up it's overall good condition. We have made no effort to clean or polish and it retains it's original aged patina. 35 1/2" tall x 12 " diameter. The pedestal is 26" tall x 10 1/4" diameter and the bowl is 9 1/2" tall.
