Fabulous piece -- both decorative and functional -- fashioned in 19th c. England. The design elements of the urn -- floral motifs, draped swags, medallions -- were formed using the repousse' technique. Supported by solid brass vertical elements on cast brass feet, with a close-fitting lid. Sans lid, this would make a striking planter.
