Tin Ruler and Drawing Box. Gray with black; green and gold paint. Tin . This draftsmans or artists box has some of its original black and gold paint. The slanted edge is a 12 inch ruler marked in gold. The top is decorated with a gold leaf decal in an Art Nouveau pattern. An inside draw, painted green, slides out of one end with compartments for pens, pencils and drawing instruments. The draw contains an original pencil and brass compass tool.
