This delightful lidded biscuit box or jar is executed in terracotta, over which was applied a rich, deep brown glaze. Around the body of the piece are seen the faces of children peeking out through panels of fringed bunting, and the handle at the top is formed as the arms, shoulders and head of a child as well.
