Burwood case, originally for cigarettes, but is large enough to take business cards. Made in possibly burr walnut, it has a hinged lid and measures 11 cm by 8.1 cm and 1.8 cm thick. Workmanship is excellent with cut-in hinge flanges to the lid. Has many usage scars, which can be seen against the light (straight on, you can't see them) but is very sound and has a lovely sheen. Late 19th century to early 20th century.
