Damaged, but still attractive and restorable - this shallow oblong ivory box is inlaid with rose gold, and has a gold hinge and push-button opener. It is Georgian period, dating around the late 18th century. Unfortunately, it has been broken on the rear side from the hinge to the corner. There is evidence of glue here, and it could certainly be repaired as no pieces of the ivory are missing. Currently, it is in two pieces, being the lid and the bottom case. Measurements: 12 mm high by 86 mm long and 20 mm wide.
Small initials "G C" are engraved in the gold presentation panel on the lid.
