This is a very fine pair of 18th century English inlaid mahogany knife boxes. These knife boxes have inlaid stylized shells on their lids surrounded by inlaid banding at the edges. Inside there is string inlay and five pointed stars. These knife boxes have survived in an excellent state of preservation. Overall condition excellent. Old refinish. Mellow nut amber patina.
