A fine and early Satsuma vase with children in a court scene. Reserves on each side of flowers. Nicely detailed scenes on this early piece of Satsuma at the beginning of the golden age of Japanese art. Circa 1870. Stands 4'' tall. with no damage or repairs and just a little gilt rub.
