Incredible Satsuma vase that is signed with one of the most intricate signatures I have ever seem. The detailing of this piece is far beyond anything that I have ever seen. The faces of the men are all completely different and you would be able to recognize any of them were you to meet them. The women oddly have almost exactly the same face and all completely white as woman would have been in the court with their pancake makeup. Only 4'' tall but a stunning example of what could be done in the Golden Age of Satsuma. A museum quality piece unlikely to be equalled even by the masters like Yabu Meizan.
