This blue and white Ming Period bowl is 3-1/8" high, 6-1/4" diameter at the top. Formerly known as "Swatow" ware, this bowl has an orange peel texture, a sign of age and a crackle finish. Bonham's auction house in New York City has confirmed that the bowl is Ming and probably of Southeast Asian origin, possibly Vietnam. The condition is quite good for a piece that is about 500 years old, no cracks or chips. There is very minor fritting around the top edge, common in a piece of this age. Shipping and insurance are additional. You may view more of my items at www.anitataub.rubylane.com
