Price on request:A very large museum quality blue cobalt Martaban Jar. It is very, very rare to find this type of jar in cobalt blue, especially in this size and condition. Martaban jars were originally made in China used for storage of food for trading ships. They were eventually traded to the natives in Southeast Asia, mainly Borneo, and were highly prized. The center of the vase has a relief of a dragon chasing the evasive flaming pearl. Size: H. 92.8cm. W. 46cm. Condition: Very good with no repairs or missing parts. One side has some calcification from being buried for a long time. It show up more in the photo than it actually is.
