Large Japanese Satsuma vase, with figures in high relief on the sides. 1920s-1930s period, lots of gold and tube-line painting. Portrays a dominant deity with a dragon, and other figures. Measures 30.5 cm high and 18 cm diameter (12 inches by 7 inches). Excellent condition. Printed mark underneath "Made in Japan" and also the hand written mark in Japanese characters. Probably Kyoto ware. Very heavy.
