A visual feast of kiku/chrysanthemums. Gently and gracefully scalloped. On the outside, very finely rendered bamboo bunches, on two opposing sides,
reminiscent of Ike Taiga's painting strokes, against a very unique midnight blue background.
On the inside, an explosion of chrysanthemums in every shape, form and color plus representative flora of Japan. The composition and coloring equivalent to an Impressionist master.
Artist signed, by the elusive Juzan.
Meiji Period, circa 1880.
Dimensions: 7.28in. Diameter / 2.55in. Height.
