Very nice stone craving, Chinese in origin, late 19th to early 20th c. Superb details on this 8" figurine. No maker marks. The scholar is holding a fan in one hand and beads in the other. There is a chip on the bottom of the right sleeve, otherwise good condition. Intricately carved facial features add a human touch. Cold to feel.
