A pottery offering figure of a hog's head on a platter. There are accents of green and amber glazes typical of miniature Ming funerary objects. A sense of realism and humor is revealed with a large amber-glazed hog's snout directly behind the head.
Period: Ming (1368-1398 AD)
Size: Height = 6 cm. (2-3/8 inches), Diameter of plate = 7 cm. (2-3/4 inches)
Condition: Minor chips around the rim of platter and a small fleck of glaze broken off the front pig's snout. Normal age wear. (see photos)
