This Chinese porcelain blue and white plate is 9" in diameter. There are trees and flowers, probably roses, in the center, along with what looks like a butterfly on the left. There are three sections of flowers around the rim. The background is bluish gray. There is a lustrous brown enamel edge, sometimes called Batavia brown, cafe au lait, etc. The plate dates to at least the 19th century, with a good possibility that it is 18th century. The condition is quite good for an antique, and there are no cracks. There are a few small flakes on the back near the edge, not visible from the front, and a small chip in the brown enamel edge, which is quite minor. (Shipping and insurance are additional.)
