Here is one of the earliest CHINESE EXPORT PIECES, A Covered oval CANTON DISH in the RAIN AND CLOUD BORDER with lychee fruit finial. This rare covered dish priced to sell! The piece is of the period. There is some damage, and if you can restore a chip, this piece can be yours for a fraction of its value. Most pieces of the 18th century which have survived have substantial restoration and damage, even in Museums and the most important pocelain collections.
