A very fine lobed hexagonal Worcester spoon tray beautifully hand decorated in the Chinese influenced Compagnie des Indes style. With a central floral spray within a gilt wreath surrounded by smaller flower sprigs within a purple diaper border lined with gilt and red lined swags. In excellent condition with no damage or restoration. There is light wear to the high points of the purple diaper border only. The central panel where you would normally expect some rubbing and wear is as perfect as the day it was painted. These wonderful little spoon trays come from a period when taking tea was an occasion. Typically unmarked. Measures 15.5cms long x 9.5cms wide.
