This Usubata Or Japanese Vase Harmonizes Particularly Well With An Arrangement Of Early Plum Blossoms. It Is An Important Receptacle Used By The Ikenobo School of Flower Arranging. The Surface Patination Is Wonderful, With Engraved Characters Along The Side. According To Tradition, The Engraved Portion Is Away From View When Used With An Arrangement. Circa 1900. Size: 7.625" H x 6.625" W at base. (Ikenobou was first established by Ikenobou Senkei 500 years ago).
