This is a very beautifully potted and unusual Yuan Dynasty(1277-1367) qingbai (yingqing) meiping or plum vase. It has a thick foot base then rise slightly upward to a beaded and slightly baluster body with a slightly rounded and then flat shoulder and then rising to a single loop neck. The design is that of molded lotus flowers and leaf in various stages of flowering in four carthouses on the shoulder as well as the body. On the lower part of the meiping, towards the base, there are three layers of plaintain leaf. Greenish glazed can be seen pooling at the recessed part of the molding. It also has very nice ice crazing on the glaze. The body shape is quite proportionate and well balance.
The meiping or plum vase has some abrasion on the mouth and body, especially on the beaded parts of the body but no chip, crack, repair or restoration. In good condition.
The measurement of the Meiping or Plum Vase is: the Height 24cm and the Width is 12.5cm.
