This is a very nice pear shaped Yuan dynasty (1279-1368) Yuhuchun ping. It stand on a short foot-rim with a recessed base exposing very light brown earthenware. It then everted upward to a pear shaped body, and then gradually narrow upward to a narrow neck towards and then everting upward again to a mildly curled-up mouth rim. The body is divided into two broad band with free flow painting of lotus leave on the upper band and lotus flowers on the body band. Within the two wide band, it is ringed with a centre thick line with two thinner lines all around it. All this is painted in a dark rustic brown colour.
Overall in good condition. No repair, restoration, crack or chip. In picture NO. 3, the arrows SHOWS darken SOME black spots WHICH is the result of the ashes sticking to the glaze during firing. It then burned to black patches or colour.
The dimension of the Yuhuchun Ping: The height is 24cm, the width is 14.5 cm and themouth rim is 8cm.
