Outstanding and well articulated Satsuma covered Koro with a prancing shi shi on the cover. Quite large and impressive. This piece dates from the late Edo period and is a Kyoto ware piece. Stands a whopping 11'' tall quite large for a koro. Very nice quality. There is a repair to the lid, tail and one leg other than that very good condition. Circa 1850.
