SOLD.An extremely rare pair of original 18th century elm wood lacquered folding chairs. All the parts are original including the original lacquer. Only replacements were the hardware in the folding joints as the originals had rusted out. The back panel has an open- work floral design with a cloud design on the upper and lower panels. The soft mat seat seems to be original. The chairs fold in a unique backward motion. Size: H. 104cm. Width between the arm rests. 58.5cm. Seat depth. 38.5cm. Condition. All original.
