circa: 1950 width: 85 height: 22 length: 14 This charming antique bench was crafted in China around 1950. We recently purchased it at an estate auction in England and imported it to our store in Atlanta. The red painted finish looks quite striking, as does the accentual painted gilding around the shaped edges of the apron. Although the paint has developed some cracking, it remains stable and durable against wear, while the structure of the bench itself is quite firm. This is due in part to the fact that the underlying wood is most likely teak, and so it is very strong. Perfect as an accent or covered outdoor piece, this antique Chinese bench remains in good overall condition and would make a fine addition to any antique collection!
