Incredible quality Japanese Meiji period Kutani koro and cover surmounted by a finely formed shi shi. Finely marked under the lid and the 2 seperate highly detailed panels on each side show a scene of a samurai and his followers and the other depicts a scene of samurai being entertained by a musical group and a dragon masked man. Stands about 6'' tall and is a treasure on a par with any Satsuma pieces. No damage or repairs and circa 1880. Status: For Sale Reference#: 524_2498 Condition: ex Year: 1880
