Exquisite Central Asian Susani tapestry with embroidery on back-loom hand-woven silk. It features a floral design of wool needle-work on a hand-woven silk background. This vintage Susani required the embroidery work of a woman in one year period, excluding the weaving of the silk on a back-strap loom. It originates from Bukhara and is rare due to the intricate embroidery and the amount of work needed to accomplish a single tapestry work. It is used as a wall hanging, cover for bed, or a dowry trunk. Additional digital photos are available on request to the interested, serious buyer.
