Just lovely antique Japanese Taisho Period c.1925 bronze flower vase with cranes under a moon in superb raised relief. Hotsuma Katori was born Meiji Period c.1874 and died in 1954. He was a graduate of the prestigious Tokyo Art School in 1891 winning honors as the top student and artist. He won the silver prize In the 1900 Paris World Expo. His works are in the Kyoto National Museum and the Tokyo National Museum. His son, also a bronze craftsman, is a National Treasure. Comes with wood stand. Perfect condition. c.1925.
