Exceptional Yoshitora original woodblock scroll dated feb. 1866. Yoshitora's real name was Tatsugoro Nagashima and he was a pupil of Kuniyoshi. This woodblock scroll with vivid detail and color is of an 'oiran' the queen of the Geishas. This style of woodblock scroll is called 'Takenaga Hosho' indicating the long length of the woodblock and in this field the narrow width is called 'habahiro hashira-e' (pillar style).
