This item has been SOLD. This handle is a classic Meiji Period work of art, depicting a Shi Shi at play among flowers. In browned copper, carved in high relief with gilt accents against a background of dots . One edge has a series of small dents but the handle is in good condition in all other respects. 19th C. 3.75" x .5"
