Here is a very fine 18th century famille rose signed seal paste box, bearing signatures from the Qianlong period. The box cover is a rendition of the classical peony and crane motif. The box is not only very attractive, of the period and rare, it was a functional item as well. The decorative lid bears traces of the original owners seal mark or chop in red wax on top (see photos), and there is remaining red paste in the box interior. The box is signed, and bears two floral views as well as signature views. this is a truly wonderful find in very good condition.
Dimensions: 4" x 2 1/2" Condition, very good. Normal wear for the period.
