An unusual Burmese sculpture of a man riding on the shoulders of a Demon. Probably representing a folk tale or myth. Carved to adorn a festival cart or the ox bow of the cart. Early 20th C. Lacquered wood, with age and wear losses. H:17"xW:5.5". On a metal display base.
