A carved wooden board with the names of the Buddhas from a temple monestary in Sothern China. The carving is done so that the Chinese characters are raised. They litteraly protrude off the surface of the board almost 1/8 inch, A master craftsman spent much time smoothing the backround surface so that the perfect chacters would be perfectly shaped letter representations. This piece is over 150 years old early 19th century. Absolutely Divine.Size Overall Dimensions 50" H X 25" W X 2.5" D 127.0cm H X 63.5cm W X 6.4cm D.
